I’m Gunnar
I’m Gunnar, and this website is all about my fishing adventures over the years. I first got into fishing when my mom and dad would bring my sister and I down to El Cardonal, Mexico. This remote town in Baja California Sur is like my happy place, and I realized that some time ago when my dad would wake me up at 6 in the morning to go fishing, and I agreed because why not? (That was the first time) and that day, we were on my dad’s new Boston Whaler. Our two deckhands at the time, Berna and Chente, brought us to a spot offshore where we caught grouper, triggerfish, and a baby dorado. We released everything as I can remember, but from then on, I knew I was hooked on fishing. Not for all the random stuff like “It’s not about the fish it’s about the time you spend with people.” It was somewhat about that but more, I just loved fish. They are my favorite animal always, and I think they’re pretty overlooked in terms of people liking them. From that point on, I’ve caught tons of fish, more than on this website, and all thanks to my dad especially and my mom, but also a huge thanks to Berna, Chente, Fabian, Christopher, and Luis. They are so awesome despite the language barrier, and have always helped me in fishing as well as doing things like hunting and shore fishing. I also want to thank Todd Berardi and Alyssa Warnock for being amazing parents and I’m so lucky to have opportunities like this to find my passion. - Gunnar Berardi
